With the perfect combination of tart and sweet, these Lemon Blueberry Muffins are the perfect thing to make when you’re craving something sweet but not too sweet. If you ask my kids what their favorite thing to make in the kitchen together, the answer would hands down be muffins. And if you asked them what their favorite muffins to make are, they would shout very confidently, LEMON BLUEBERRY MUFFINS. The Big Kid is absolutely obsessed with all things lemon. (Lemon chicken, lemon crinkle cookies, lemon blueberry scones, green tea lemonade…) The Little Kid pretty much loves whatever her sister loves…

Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or snacks, these small batch dairy-free dried mango muffins are packed with flavor. They are also the perfect way to use up that dried mango (or any fruit, really) that’s been sitting in your pantry for way too long. A few months ago, I picked up a bag of dried mango from our local BJ’s because it’s seriously the best. Like, better than any other brand I’ve tried. The first time I had gotten a bag, it was gone in two days flat. I was telling The Little about how excited I was to have some…

This tropical(ish) strawberry lemonade smoothie is slightly tart, mostly sweet, fresh tasting breakfast treat. It’s also dairy free and has no banana in it — something that’s almost unheard of when it comes to smoothies. I’m pretty sure my love affair for smoothies has been going on for close to fifteen — maybe twenty — years. I like them fruity, i like them green, i like them decadent and sweet. I like them for breakfast, lunch, or dessert. I like, just love them. So long as they are dairy-free, of course. Smoothies fell out of my diet recently for a few reasons. First…

An easy meal for breakfast or dinner, this recipe for sheet pan eggs and brussels sprouts is an absolute treat. It comes together in about 20 minutes and will have everyone at the table saying MORE PLEASE! I’ve had the Brussels Sprouts and Egg Skillet from Naturally Ella saved on one of my Pinterest boards for ages (probably since 2012 when the recipe first came out), but never had the courage to make it. Brussels sprouts have never been a favorite of mine and it’s taken a lot of years to get to the point where I can eat them once a…

Looking for a tasty treat for breakfast, brunch, or brinner? How about some easy baked oatmeal! Great for eating all day long, you’ll thank your past self for setting you up with such deliciousness. Oatmeal is a favorite in this house. Everyone enjoys it and it’s easy to make a big batch of. We like it pretty plain, cooking it with water and adding in maple syrup to sweeten it up. The only problem with stove top oatmeal is that it takes forever to make, so it’s not always a great weekday option. Enter in BAKED oatmeal and everything changes.…

Delicious for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this sweet potato and beef hash is always a hit in the House of Lev. And with a grand total of three ingredients (YEP, THREE) it truly couldn’t get any easier. Unless, of course, it cooked itself. As we enter into our sixth week of quarantine and six whole weeks of cooking 3 meals a day for 4 people, the only thing I want lately is EASY. And this sweet potato and beef hash fits that bill nicely. With a grand total of three ingredients (YEP, THREE) this couldn’t get any easier. Unless, of course, it…

I’ve had a love hate relationship with chia pudding for years. I’ve wanted to love it but end up just hating it because of how runny and slimy it is. I would see recipes online for the thickest and most delicious looking chia pudding and wonder why mine never looked (or tasted) as good. I went so far as to buy an electric grinder thinking it was a texture thing. When that didn’t work, I gave up and just added a tablespoon of chia seeds to smoothies or breads here and there. That is, until a month ago when my…
